Want to know how to pronounce Scheveningen?

The Dutch Language module has been designed for international students who will start their studies at Windesheim. The aim of the module is very practical: to provide you with language skills you can use during your stay and to make it easier to interact with your Dutch friends and classmates. You will be taught communication and grammar up to a basic or intermediate level through practical training sessions and guided self-study. Ben jij er klaar voor (are you ready)?

This module is not scheduled at the same time as one of the other modules, so it therefore can be taken simultaneously with any of the other cross-departmental modules.

Module description

What's the module Dutch Language like?

- Dutch Language (5 ECTS credits)
  This entry-level module covers a range of everyday situations, such as meeting someone, talking about the languages you speak, small talk, asking for information, shopping at the market, asking for directions and what time is it. The grammar you learn serves to help you structure the sentences, as well as providing you with some basic knowledge about the language.
  
  This module aims to increase your active and receptive Dutch language skills up to basic level. You will practice your communicative skills in small talk and the correct use of vocabulary and grammar in sentences.

  This module is for international exchange students with little to no prior knowledge of Dutch, but would like to master the basics in order to get around in daily situations.
