About Windesheim
Windesheim is one of the Netherlands' top-3 universities of applied sciences, known for its personal approach, small classes (approx. 20 students), for working closely with the business community and public institutes and for the strong focus on personal skill development.
We offer, besides approx. 80 Dutch programmes, two English taught bachelors programmes, 20 English taught exchange programmes and a variety of blended intensive programmes.

University of Applied Sciences
In the Netherlands, there are two types of universities. Windesheim is a University of Applied Sciences, where higher professional education is taught. This means that besides theoretical knowledge, the student will get hands-on experience through internships, projects with the professional field, group work, workshops and guest lectures.
The classes are small (max. 20–30 students per class). After a four-year Bachelor’s programme, students usually start their professional career. Research universities, on the other hand, offer highly academic, research-oriented programmes. These take three years and will be followed by a Master’s programme of 1–3 years, depending on the subject.
