Windesheim alumni look back on student days with satisfaction

On average, more than seven out of ten alumni who graduated at Windesheim in the 2021/22 academic year look back on their student days with satisfaction (72%). 98% found a job within 3 months after graduation.

Eight out of ten alumni say they would again choose Windesheim if they had to choose a study programme now and recommend our university of applied sciences to friends and family. As regards career success: three months after completing their studies in higher professional education (hbo), an amazing 98% of Windesheim alumni have found a job. These findings have been published in the HBO Monitor, a national survey among recent graduates, in which Windesheim participates each year.

Like last year, this survey shows that most students are satisfied with the quality of the lecturers. Besides alumni quickly finding a job on the labour market, the HBO Monitor also shows that most alumni work in their own field at higher professional education (hbo) level. About 75% are satisfied with their present job. Salaries of labour market entrants are nearly 6% higher than the year before and are at the level of the national average.

Alumni Satisfied

18 months after their graduation, no less than 72% of Windesheim graduates look back on their student days with satisfaction, or even with great satisfaction. This is 7% over the national average. Moreover, 79% of our alumni currently hold jobs matching their educational level, while 83% have jobs in their own field of study.

On average, alumni find that Windesheim has prepared them well for the labour market. 74% feel that the study programme offers a solid basis for working as a professional. Also, 78% think that their programme has prepared them adequately for continuing their competency development.

Annual Survey

The HBO Monitor is an annual survey held among all graduates in higher professional education. It provides an insight into the (labour market) position of graduates and indicates how well study programmes prepare their students for the labour market. The survey is conducted by the Research Centre for Education and Labour Market (ROA) of Maastricht University.
